Forest management and biodiversity
ImprimerForest management is not just about providing a sustained yield of timber; it also needs to avoid loss of biodiversity and even help to maintain certain specific habitats. Finally, it should ensure that a sufficiently diverse gene pool is maintained, including varieties of trees best suited to the Biosphere reserve’s socioecological conditions. MAB France encourages efforts to find original approaches to forest management.
